HAIMA: The Ministry of Transport, Communications and Information Technology, represented by the Roads Department in Al Wusta Governorate, is taking measures to upgrade its readiness to optimize benefits from Khareef Dhofar 2024 season.


Bakhit Salim Al Awa’id, Director of the Roads Department in Al Wusta Governorate, said that his department engaged in removing sand layers from the roads leading to the Dhofar Governorate like Adam-Thumrait road, Sinaw-Duqm-Hasik road, Al Ashkharah-Mahout road and Mahout-Al Zamaim road.


Al Awa’id added that the department awarded a tender for the management of road links in the Wilayat of Haima in the first quarter of 2024 to help construct the remaining parts of the Adam-Thumrait dual road, in addition to restoring networks and organizing road markers to ensure the smooth flow of movement for the safety of road users. - ONA
