MUSCAT: Maj Gen Yousef al Huneiti, Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, and his accompanying delegation visited the Maritime Security Centre (MSC).


During the visit, the guests were accompanied by Vice Admiral Abdullah bin Khamis al Raisi, Chief of Staff of the Sultan’s Armed Forces (SAF).


Upon their arrival at the centre, the Jordanian guests were greeted by Rear Admiral Saif bin Nasser al Rahbi, Commander of the Royal Navy of Oman (RNO) and Chairman of the Maritime Security Committee. They were also greeted by Commodore Adil bin Hamoud al Busaidi, Head of the MSC.


The guest and his accompanying delegation were briefed about the MSC’s role in maintaining maritime security.



Moreover, Jordan’s Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff and his accompanying delegation were received by Vice Admiral Abdullah bin Khamis al Raisi, Chief of Staff of the Sultan’s Armed Forces, in his office at Muaskar Al Murtafaa.


Upon the guest’s arrival at the COSAF, he was accorded an official welcoming ceremony.


During the meeting, the two sides exchanged views and discussed several matters of mutual interest.


The meeting was attended by Brigadier Hamid bin Abdullah al Balushi, SAF Assistant Chief of Staff for Operations and Planning, and the military attaché of Jordan’s embassy in Muscat. - ONA
