SHANGHAI: Engineer Ali bin Salem al Busaidy won the gold medal and the special award cup for the best invention at the 2024 Shanghai International Invention and Innovation Exhibition, China for his invention of a first aid device.
The device is designed in such a way as to significantly reduce the number of traffic accident victims and speed up the response time to traffic accidents by enabling fast communication with emergency teams.
The device also allows receiving accident information automatically and accurately as well as contributes to reducing human error in pinpointing the accident site and ensuring the best possible emergency response.
In addition, the device reduces cases of severe injuries by connecting to a group of different rescue devices for all emergency cases.
It also enables the concerned authorities to reach the accident site in the shortest possible time.
The device comprises a set of smart rescue devices designed for handling various types of emergency cases (automatic fire extinguishing, smart first aid box, drowning rescue device, heart rate sensor in case of sudden seizures, sound and lights connected to the device in the car in case of emergency and a system for automatically opening car doors and windows).
The device enables the driver to communicate and send text messages automatically from the vehicle alongside a link to the accident site to the relevant emergency teams and to one of the driver’s relatives as well. The messages include vehicle data, the time of the accident, and other information. — ONA
