

Muscat: Sayyid Badr bin Hamad al Busaidy, Foreign Minister of the Sultanate of Oman, discussed in a phone call with his American counterpart, Antony J. Blinken, United States Secretary of State, the developments related to the Israeli war in Gaza strip and the efforts made to reach an agreement for a permanent ceasefire.
They discussed the efforts made to reach an agreement between Hamas and Israel for a permanent ceasefire, allowing the entry of sufficient relief aid, stopping the bloodshed and human suffering, and achieving the release of detainees and prisoners on both sides.
The two ministers agreed on the necessity of stopping the conflict urgently, and continuing to support efforts to achieve peace that benefits all parties and the region.
The call also touched on the need to support the Palestinian Authority politically and financially to enable it to carry out its responsibilities.
On Yemen, the two ministers stressed the importance of continuing to support efforts to achieve peace and release of detainees and other civilians aimed at preventing escalation of conflict in the region.
