MUSCAT: The Majlis Ash'shura on Thursday hosted representatives of Nama Water Services Company to discuss with them means to enhance the services provided by Nama, the company’s strategy in renewing contracts for owners of water transport tanks and the delay in establishing water supply networks in some neighbourhoods in the governorates of Oman.

Qais bin Saud al Zakwani, CEO of Nama Water Services Company, gave a visual presentation about water transportation services, pricing and billing, and the company’s future plans to expand water networks to homes and the prepaid meter programme.

Al Zakwani pointed out that the company plans to replace mechanical meters with smart meters and review electronic services (now 33) through Nama application. The services offered via Nama app include the use of a prepaid system, an interactive WhatsApp service, booking online appointments, sending notifications and filing complaints, he explained.
