The Board of Directors of the Integrated Gas Company (IFGC), a subsidiary of the Ministry of Finance, has announced the appointment of Abdulrahman bin Humaid al Yahyaei as the new Chief Executive Officer.
Welcoming the new CEO in a statement, the Board said his extensive experience and transformational leadership skills would contribute to achieving IGC’s goals and aspirations during the coming period.
Al Yahyaei has a long wealth of extensive local, regional and international experience in executive leadership in the oil and gas sector across his integrated chain, where he spent his career spanning more than 22 years in multiple companies in the upper, middle and lower segments in the executive, operational, technical and commercial fields.
Before joining IGC, he served as CEO of the Oman Energy Association (OPAL), which is the first professional civil society organization concerned with supervising companies in the energy and minerals sector, setting professional standards and supervising In-Country Value (ICV), and the dissemination of best professional practices.
As CEO he oversaw OPAL’s quantum leap in various fields, positioning it as a prominent organisation locally, regionally and internationally. Earlier, he held leadership positions at Occidental, Schlumberger Overseas, Oman LNG and the Royal Office.
In addition to his extensive management experience and strategic mindset and work in the field of oil and gas, he has contributed to the establishment of a number of international and local companies and has significant contributions at the national level in general and the energy, minerals, logistics, education and operation sector in particular, IGC added.
