Khasab: The University of Technology and Applied Sciences opened its branch in Musandam Governorate under the auspices of Dr Mahad bin Said Baowain, Minister of Labour, in Khasab on Thursday.
Dr Said bin Hamad al Rubaie, President of UTAS, said: “The establishment and opening of a branch of the University of Technology and Applied Sciences in Musandam Governorate comes in support of the government’s direction towards providing and developing the specialised human resources, and supplying the labour market with technically qualified graduates, through the provision of high-quality educational and training programmes.
It provides students with future skills and modern knowledge.”
Dr Ahmed bin Said al Shehri of the UTAS Musandam said: “ The branch received the first batch of students during this semester of the academic year 2023/2024, in economics, business administration, information technology, and educational studies. The opening ceremony was attended by Sayyid Ibrahim bin Said al Busaidy, Governor of Musandam, and other dignitaries.
