Kuwait journalists and citizens express happiness over HM’s visit

Kuwait: A number of Kuwaiti citizens and media professionals expressed their happiness over the state visit of His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik to the State of Kuwait.


Mohammed Abdullatif al Bahar, Deputy Editor-in-Chief of Kuwait News Agency (KUNA) for Arab Affairs, said that the visit of His Majesty the Sultan to the State of Kuwait has a great importance in terms of place and time. His Majesty is a dear guest of his brother HH Shaikh Meshal al Ahmad al Jaber al Sabah, Emir of the State of Kuwait.



He added that over the decades, the State of Kuwaiti and the Sultanate of Omani maintained special relations based on the ties between the two leaderships and the two brotherly peoples that are deeply rooted in history. This is in addition to the consensus and conformity of visions regarding various issues and their common keenness to further enhance relations.


Al Bahar stressed that the visit of His Majesty the Sultan to Kuwait represents an addition to an already advanced relations between two countries at both the official and popular levels and will mark a milestone in the history of the Kuwaiti-Omani relations.


Dr Noura Abdullah, a Kuwait journalist expressed her happiness and pride over the Royal visit of His Majesty the Sultan, to the State of Kuwait, stressing the depth of the political and social relations between the two brotherly countries since ancient times and their continuation at the present time as an example to follow.



She said that the visit addresses many important files and common issues between the two brotherly countries and discusses regional and international issues of common interest.


Hani al Awad, a Kuwait journalist said that the Kuwaiti and Omani peoples believe that the visit of His Majesty the Sultan to the State of Kuwait will enhance areas of economic on top of the existing investments between the two countries most importantly the Duqm Refinery in the Sultanate of Oman.


The streets of the Kuwaiti capital were decorated with the flags of the Sultanate of Oman to celebrate the state visit of His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik reflecting the depth of fraternal bonds.


The Sultanate of Oman and the sisterly State of Kuwait are linked by robust, well-established relations based on strong foundations of understanding, mutual respect, sincere cooperation as well as common interests. — ONA
