Doha: Shaikh Tamim bin Hamad al Thani, Emir of Qatar, received HH Sayyid Theyazin bin Haitham al Said, Minister of Culture, Sports and Youth, at Lusail Palace in Doha on Thursday.
During the meeting, HH Sayyid Theyazin conveyed the greetings of His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik to the Emir, along with His Majesty the Sultan’s wishes of good health and happiness. He also conveyed His Majesty’s wishes of further progress and prosperity to the people of Qatar.
The Emir of Qatar asked HH Sayyid Theyazin to convey his greetings and sincere wishes of good health and well-being to His Majesty the Sultan. He also wished Omani people further development and growth.
HH Sayyid Theyazin and the Emir of Qatar exchanged cordial conversations and reaffirmed the strong bonds of fraternity between the peoples of the two countries.
The meeting was attended from the Qatari side by Shaikh Khalifa bin Hamad al Thani, Minister of Interior; Shaikh Saud bin Abdulrahman al Thani, Chief of the Emiri Diwan; Shaikh Abdulrahman bin Hamad al Thani, Minister of Culture; and several senior Qatari officials. From the Omani side, the meeting was attended by Sayyid Said bin Sultan al Busaidy, Under-Secretary of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Youth for Culture; and Ammar bin Abdullah al Busaidi, Ambassador of the Sultanate of Oman to Qatar. — ONA
