MUSCAT: Activities of a forum titled “Enhancing the Competitiveness of National Products and Services in Hotel Establishments” kicked off on Wednesday.
Organised by the Ministry of Heritage and Tourism, the two-day forum looks into various means of empowering domestic products and services, including policies and laws related to government procurements.
The opening ceremony was held under the auspices of Salim bin Mohammed al Mahrouqi, Minister of Heritage and Tourism.
The forum saw a number of working papers and panel discussions that focused on cooperation about developing local content, exchanging knowledge and benefiting from local and foreign experiences to bolster the tourism industry in Oman. - ONA
