

NIZWA: Al Dakhiliyah will implement developmental and service projects worth over RO 5 million as part of the Governorates Development Programme. Shaikh Hilal bin Said bin Hamdan al Hajri, Governor of Al Dakhiliyah, signed many agreements to implement these projects which include building 58 km of roads covering Nizwa, Bahla, Adam, and Al Hamra; repositioning of parking and entrances leading to the Nizwa market to alleviate traffic congestion; and facelift of Hassas Park in Samayil, Al Aqil Park in Izki, Al Hadeetha Park in Adam, and Al Khotom Park in Manah.
It also includes maintenance of water supply in Manah market, and the establishment of a modern irrigation system for trees and plants at the entrance of Manah to promote environmental sustainability.
The Governor of Al Dakhiliyah also signed consultancy agreements to establish a park in Al Saih Al Ahmar in Bidbid, development of Falaj Al Khatmain in Birkat Al Mouz, and the construction of mosques and rubberised play area in Adam Public Park. He also signed for projects involving the installation of street lights in the road leading to Jabal Shams in Al Hamra, Falajeen, Al Maghbariyah in Samayil, Adam Public Park and Al Warith Mosque and the Haribah area in Nizwa.
Street lights will also be set up at Al Shubbak Road in Izki. The contract also includes installing of energy-efficient streetlights in various wilayats in the governorate. Shaikh Hilal al Hajri said:"These projects serve the community and citizens."
Sulaiman bin Hamad al Sunaidy, Director General of Al Dakhiliyah Municipality, said, "These agreements will improve roads, provide more street lights and public parks. Consultancy studies for several vital projects will enhance the efficiency of public services in the governorate,."
