MUSCAT: The total value of real estate trading in the Sultanate of Oman at the end of March 2024 amounted to RO 587.5 million, a decrease of 19.5 per cent compared to the same period in 2023, amounting to RO 730.1 million.
Statistics issued by the National Centre for Statistics and Information indicated that the fees collected for all legal transactions amounted to RO 16.5 million, a decrease of 10.3 per cent from the end of March 2023. The traded value of sales contracts amounted to RO 284.9 million for 16,877 sales contracts. The value increased by 3.3 per cent, while the number of contracts decreased by 1.8 per cent.
The traded value of mortgage contracts decreased by 30.8 per cent, recording RO 299.8 million for 4,858 contracts, while the number of swap contracts reached 383 contracts, worth RO 2.8 million.
The number of properties issued reached 57,167 properties, a decrease of 6.9 per cent, by the end of March 2024, while the number of properties issued to citizens of the Gulf Cooperation Council countries reached 323 properties, a decrease of 1.2 per cent. — ONA
