Four small and medium enterprises participated in Oman Sustainability Week, and this came with the support of the Small and Medium Enterprises Development Authority.
The four small and medium enterprises were, Osool, an institution specialised in preparing sustainability reports for companies in various sectors, ZaboneEx, which is an electronic platform to open broader horizons for companies in the field of food and beverages, Al Anfal institution for industries and commercial, a leading institution in the field of manufacturing and distributing chemicals, and International Management (IOGC) which specialises in providing renewable energy products and solutions.
Oman Sustainability Week, under the slogan 'Sustainable Living in an Interconnected Society', was a national platform that focuses on sustainability in the areas of energy and water demands of the Sultanate of Oman in addition to the protection of the environment with clear alignment to Oman Vision 2040. It was considered a platform for sharing technical expertise and resources available and engaging the business community and residents in shifting the culture towards a sustainable lifestyle and development that will aid towards meeting the commitment in sustainable development.
“Oman Sustainability Week enables participating institutions to enhance competitiveness, as it represents an effective platform for stakeholders to showcase their initiatives, exchange experiences and knowledge, and adopt best practices, technologies and innovative solutions in the field of sustainability,” said Rawan al Balushi, Events Specialist.
In its third edition, the conference aimed to exchange experiences, knowledge and best practices in the fields of sustainability, energy, water, waste, environment and society.
