Oman regrets US veto on full membership to Palestine

Muscat: The Sultanate of Oman expressed its regret over the use of veto power of the United States of America against the State of Palestine's request for full membership in the United Nations.


This occurred during the discussion of Item 63 concerning the use of veto power in the United Nations General Assembly session.


In an online statement, the Sultanate's Foreign Ministry said, "The Sultanate of Oman expressed its regret over the use of the USA’s veto power against the legitimate request of Palestine to obtain full membership in the United Nations, during the discussion of Item 63 on the use of the veto power before the session of the United Nations General Assembly."
