MUSCAT: The Oman Business Forum and the Ministry of Commerce, Industry, and Investment Promotion will organise next Tuesday the second trade dialogue of this year titled "Economic Development and Support for Advanced Companies", at the Oman Convention and Exhibition Centre (OCEC).

The event aims to raise awareness and exchange views on economic development topics, with the participation of a selected group of speakers and representatives from both the public and private sectors in the Sultanate of Oman. The session will discuss the economic development strategy aimed at supporting the growth of local second-stage companies instead of attracting companies from abroad.

Maimuna bint Suleiman al Adawiyah, Director of the Oman Business Forum and partnership with the private sector at the Ministry of Commerce, Industry, and Investment Promotion, confirmed that the economic development strategy supports second-stage companies by providing them with essential market information, competitive intelligence, and digital marketing strategies to help them grow.

Al Adawiyah added that adopting the economic development strategy can greatly contribute to economic diversification efforts in the Sultanate of Oman, involving empowering local companies with the capacity for expansion, creating job opportunities, and enhancing our economic position globally.

It is worth noting that trade dialogues continue throughout the year through six sessions discussing various topics related to trade, investment opportunities, and developments at both the local and international levels."
