MUSCAT: Omantel, the leading integrated telecommunications services provider in Oman, and Abraj Energy, a prominent energy company, signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on Tuesday, April 23, 2024, to strengthen their collaboration in human resources development.
The MoU, titled 'Talent Management and Performance Management', was signed by Hilal al Siyabi, Chief People Officer for Abraj Energy, and Dr Yousuf Salim Mohammed al Hinai, General Manager ICT and Digital Solutions for Omantel.
In remarks to the Observer, Hilal al Siyabi, Chief People Officer of Abraj Energy Services, revealed that the “agreement aims at enhancing our human capital management systems in alignment with our digital transformation strategy. The primary goal is to improve our human capital performance and productivity”.
Dr Yousuf al Hinai, General Manager at Omantel, emphasized its pivotal role as the technology partner for the entire system at Abraj. “We are responsible for handling solution design, implementation, and project management. However, our collaboration is closely aligned with Abraj, recognising their expertise and ownership. It's a mutual partnership, progressing smoothly towards our shared goals. We anticipate celebrating the official launch soon.
The MoU signifies the commitment of both Omantel and Abraj Energy to work together on initiatives that enhance talent management and performance management practices within their organizations. This collaboration could encompass sharing best practices in talent development, creating joint training programmes, and establishing benchmarks for evaluating employee performance.
