ISTANBUL: Oman LNG signed an agreement for the sale and purchase (SPA) of LNG with BOTAŞ Petroleum Pipeline Corporation (BOTAS) of Turkiye for the supply of around 1 million metric tonnes per annum (mtpa) of LNG for a period of 10 years starting in 2025.

The agreement contributes to enhancing the existing cooperation between Oman LNG and BOTAS, as well as enhancing Oman’s position as a reliable energy supplier.

In a statement, Hamad bin Mohammed al Naamany, Oman LNG CEO, said: “The agreement contributes to supporting the company’s efforts to access global markets and strengthening the national economy by facilitating ‘Delivery Ex-Shipment’ contracts, or what is known as ‘DES’, for customers throughout the European and Asian continents. "

He added: “This agreement will only enhance Oman LNG's reputation as a reliable supplier of LNG, and also demonstrates its pioneering ability to efficiently manage business operations to provide safe and sustainable energy to customers around the world.”
