Muscat: April 18 is the last day to register for Imdad Hackathon for Food Safety and Quality, which is implemented by the Food Safety and Quality Center, aiming at embarking on the creative journey to bring change.
Participants will meet mentors and experts and have the opportunity to select and improve technical and innovative ideas and present to a jury, which includes specialists in the field of food safety and quality.
Through interaction and dealing with experts and mentors, participants will have the opportunity to obtain specialised guidance, valuable consultations to develop ideas and turn them into successful projects.
Unsafe food practices cause serious health problems, including infections and diseases transmitted through contaminated food.
By joining the Emdad Hackathon, participants will help find solutions through cooperation, innovation, and programming of solutions, challenges, and problems in the field of safety and food quality.
The participation aims to improve food tracking systems to raise the level of transparency, in addition to discovering the future of food safety through artificial intelligence, to develop food logistics to provide safe products to the consumer.
The Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Water Resources is keen to create an appropriate environment to develop and enhance the food safety and quality system in the Sultanate of Oman as a national duty and a basic pillar.
