MoE makes statement on the death of students

Muscat: The Ministry of Education (MoE) has made an official statement on the loss of lives of nine students in flash floods in North Sharqiyah governorate on Sunday.


Dr. Ali bin Humaid Al-Jahouri, Director General of the General Directorate of Education in Muscat Governorate, the official spokesman for the Ministry of Education, said that the Ministry expresses its condolences to the families of the students who passed away in North Al Sharqiyah Governorate.


The official spokesman added, "The guardian of one of the students picked the students. The Ministry of Education is always keen on the safety of students."


The State of Kuwait, represented by its Ministry of Foreign Affairs, expressed sympathy and solidarity with the Sultanate of Oman following the death of 12 people, including students in the wilayat of Al Mudhaibi.


State of Kuwait also extended sincere condolences to the government and people of the Sultanate of Oman and the families of the victims.
