Muscat: Due to the formation of clouds, there are chances of rainfall of varying intensity (10-30 mm) on Saturday leading to the flow of wadis over the governorates of Muscat, al Dhahirah, Al Dakhiliyah, North al Sharqiyah, and South al Sharqiyah and scattered rains in the governorates of North al Batinah, South al Batinah, and al Buraimi,

Heavy thunderstorms accompanied by strong downdraft winds and hail from Sunday early morning until evening over governorates of North Al Sharqiya, South Al Sharqiya, Al Dakhyliah, Muscat, and South al Batinah with anticipated rainfall amounts ranging from 30-120 mm leading to flashfloods and wadis.


Active wind gusts will be 10-25 knots, the sea wave height will be 1.3-3 meters on the coast of the Arabian Sea.


There are chances of rain of varying intensity over the governorates of Al Dhahirah, Al Buraimi, North al Batinah, and parts of Al Wusta governorate.


The Civil Aviation Authority advised all to take precautions during thundershower rain, not to cross Wadis (flashfloods), avoid low laying areas, and not to sail during rains.

Heavy thundershowers with hail are expected ranging (30-120 mm) and may cause flash floods.


Strong downdraft active winds with speeds ranging from 15 - 45 knots (28 - 83 km/h).


The sea state may rise along Musandam governorate and Oman Sea coasts (2 - 3 meters).


Reduction in horizontal visibility during thundershowers.

Chances of heavy to very heavy rain (30-120 mm) accompanied by hail, leading to a flow of wadis in the governorates of Buraimi, North al Batinah, Muscat, Al-Dhahirah, Al-Dakhiliyah, North al Sharqiyah, and South al Sharqiyah.


Scattered rain fell in Musandam Governorate, parts of Al Wusta and Dhofar Governorates.


Active downward winds (20-45 knots) will cause unstable materials to fly.


Sea waves will be 2 to 3 meters on most coasts.
