Muscat: His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik on Monday issued three Royal decrees reading as follows:
Royal Decree No 23/2024 establishes Al Jabal Al Gharbi Natural Reserve.
Article (1) stipulates that a nature reserve named “Al Jabal Al Gharbi Natural Reserve” shall be established and that it shall be allocated the areas whose dimensions are indicated in the Annex and map attached to this decree.
Article (2) states that the Chairman of the Environment Authority shall issue the regulations and decisions necessary for the enforcement of this decree in coordination with the departments concerned on condition that the regulations and decisions include the method of management of the natural reserve and regulations organizing public members’ entry to the sanctuary, as well as the prescribed fees, the times of visit, permissible and banned activities therewith and administrative penalties applicable in each case.
Article (3) says that this decree shall be published in the Official Gazette and enforced on the day following its date of publishing.
Royal Decree No 24/2024 establishes Al Dhahirah Natural Reserve.
Article (1) stipulates that a nature reserve named “Al Dhahirah Natural Reserve” shall be established and that it shall be allocated the areas whose dimensions are indicated in the Annex and map attached to this decree.
Article (2) states that the Chairman of the Environment Authority shall issue the regulations and decisions necessary for the enforcement of this decree in coordination with the departments concerned on condition that the regulations and decisions include the method of management of the natural reserve and regulations organizing public members’ entry to the sanctuary, as well as the prescribed fees, the times of visit, permissible and banned activities therewith and administrative penalties in applicable in each case.
Article (3) says that this decree shall be published in the Official Gazette and enforced on the day following its date of publishing.
Royal Decree No 25/2024 establishes Wahat Al Buraimi Natural Reserve.
Article (1) stipulates that a nature reserve named “Wahat Al Buraimi Natural Reserve” shall be established and that it shall be allocated the areas whose dimensions are indicated in the Annex and map attached to this decree.
Article (2) states that the Chairman of the Environment Authority shall issue the regulations and decisions necessary for the enforcement of this decree in coordination with the departments concerned on condition that the regulations and decisions include the method of management of the natural reserve and regulations organizing public members’ entry to the sanctuary, as well as the prescribed fees, the times of visit, permissible and banned activities therewith and administrative penalties applicable in each case.
Article (3) says that this decree shall be published in the Official Gazette and enforced on the day following its date of publishing.
