Nizwa: The 'Zahba Al Eid' forum was inaugurated to enhance the efforts of productive families and help people buy Eid supplies at Al Somod Stadium in Nizwa. The three-day forum concluded on April 6.
The forum was organised by the Sumood team of Nizwa Club in collaboration with various governmental entities and private institutions, including the Al Dakhiliyah Municipality. It was held under the auspices of Engineer Sulaiman bin Hamad bin Humaid al Sinadi, General Manager of the Al Dakhiliyah Municipality.
The forum aims to support Omani commerce and empower productive families by showcasing a variety of Omani local products, such as handmade crafts and traditional foods, to provide economic opportunities and social empowerment. The forum includes a range of activities, such as cultural, sports, social, and artistic events, for both children and adults.
Hamad bin Salim al Kindi, head of the Somod team, says organising the forum is part of the Ramadhan activities that the team is committed to. Speaking about the 'Zahba Al Eid' forum, he said: "it aims to highlight several objectives, including enhancing efforts of productive families, guiding them, and achieving community partnership between Nizwa Club, represented by the Somod team, and local community institutions. Also providing a marketing outlet for many new productive families to pave their way and encouraging families to recognise the importance of finding another source.
"The forum serves as a vibrant social hub that unites the product owner, the shopper, and children seeking entertainment and educational experiences in the play and theater corner. We extend thanks to the Municipality of the Governorate, represented by the Nizwa Municipality Department, the management of small and medium enterprises, Omani Women’s Association in Nizwa, the Ihsaan Association-Al Dakhiliyah Branch, private sector institutions, and everyone who contributed and supported from within the community.”
The Nizwa Forum marks a significant step towards supporting local Omani commerce by providing a platform for showcasing local products and empowering productive families through economic opportunities. Through collaboration and community engagement, the forum aims to foster economic growth and social cohesion.
