The worshippers perform Taraweeh prayer at Al Haj Ali Hasan Mosque in Barka on Tuesday night. Taraweeh is a nightly prayer performed by Muslims in the holy month of Ramadhan and follows the obligatory Isha prayer. It is a voluntary act of worship, unlike the five daily prayers, and can be performed at home or in a mosque. These prayers offer Muslims an opportunity for spiritual reflection, self-discipline and renewal.
