MUSCAT: Oman’s sports media committee, belonging to Oman Journalists Association (OJA), formed sub teams in their first meeting in 2024 recently after re-establishment of the committee. Salim bin Hamed al Jahwari was elected as chairman of the committee while Salim Saleem al Habsi as vice-chairman and Bashir al Riyami as secretary of the committee.
During the opening meeting of the committee, the chairman and members agreed on forming three sub-teams including: Sports Activities team headed by Fadhil al Mazroui and Ibrahim al Falahi as assistant. Media publication team headed by Hamed al Riyami and Adil al Balushi as his assistant. Marketing team chaired by Salim al Habsi and assisted by Ahmed al Kaabi.
It is expected that during the coming days, the committee will hold its second meeting to approve 2024/2025 calendar which will feature several activities and programmes at the internal and external levels. The formed sub teams will work to cover all the planned events and involve all the relevant people to the sports media. Moreover, the teams will ensure covering and highlighting all the events in the visual, audio and print media entities.
