Muscat -The United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) has said that it values the Sultanate of Oman’s donation of $1 million to help children in the Gaza Strip.


The organization stressed that this important donation highlights the Sultanate of Oman’s firm position on the Palestinian issue, its support for humanitarian work, and its firm support for the well-being of children at the national and international levels.


The organization explained that the Sultanate of Oman’s contributions will play a vital role in providing basic assistance to children in the Gaza Strip who face major obstacles such as the lack of food security and limited access to education and health services, stressing that through this support it will be able to continue implementing its vital programs and initiatives designed to enhance the lives of children. And protect their well-being in Palestine.


Sumayra Chaudhary, UNICEF Representative in the Sultanate of Oman, welcomed the Sultanate's generous gesture towards children in Palestine, stressing that this donation will have an impact on the lives of many children, which will provide them with basic support and hope for a better future.
