Muscat: In adherence to Article 295 of the Oman Penal Code, Oman’s Public Prosecution issued a reminder concerning the legal consequences of concealing one’s identity in public spaces.

The provision stipulates that individuals found in public areas wearing a half or full-face mask, or utilizing any other means with the intent to conceal their features or identity, are subject to punishment. Offenders may face imprisonment for a period of up to one year.
