Khazaen Economic City, a prominent investment destination in the Sultante of Oman, boasts significant progress across various projects, with the Khazaen Central Market for Vegetables and Fruits reaching a remarkable 98% completion and initiating trial operations.


This milestone marks a significant step forward for the city, aiming to become a key player in the region's food sector. The central market, upon full operation, is expected to serve as a vital hub for fresh produce, connecting farmers, distributors, and consumers.


Other Key ventures making headway at the Economic City are: Khazaen headquarters complex, Opal Biopharma Phase II, Saudi Arabia’s Al Watania Al Khalijyah for Paper Products, Al Zayzafon Factory for Sanitary Materials, Industrial Logistics Complex (Phase II), and Salalah Mills factory.


The city's Khazaen Dry Port is now fully operational, offering businesses a seamless gateway for trade. Additionally, the Khazaen International Logistics Center is attracting regional companies, further solidifying the city's position as a logistics hub.


Construction is well underway on various fronts, with 80% of the workers' housing village completed. An agreement has also been signed for the establishment of an integrated truck rest stop, catering to the needs of the transportation sector.


Furthermore, four agreements have been signed in the building materials industry, indicating potential growth in this crucial sector.


Infrastructure development continues at a steady pace, with Phase 2 completed and Phase 3 already awarded. The city's headquarters building is also complete, showcasing Khazaen's commitment to establishing a strong presence.


Efforts are underway to connect the city seamlessly to the wider region. Half of the work on the connection to the Batinah Expressway has been finalized, improving accessibility and fostering further economic development.


Khazaen Economic City has attracted 30 investment contracts, spanning an area of half a million square meters. This significant figure reflects the growing confidence of investors in the city's potential.


While the focus of this report is the 98% completion of the Central Market, Khazaen Economic City appears to be on track to become a major commercial and industrial center in Oman, with progress evident across various sectors.
