MUSCAT: Sur secured a thrilling 4-3 victory over Dhofar on Tuesday at the Sur Complex Stadium in the 13th round of the Oman League. The first half saw Salalah giants take the initiative, dominating possession and creating several chances. The first real threat came in the fifth minute when Qasim Said's shot was saved by Sur goalkeeper Bilal Al Balushi. Dhofar continued to press and their efforts were rewarded in the 10th minute when Said scored the opening goal, assisted by Mohammed Al Simahi. Two minutes later, Said doubled Dhofar's lead after a well-worked move, capitalizing on a mistake by Sur defender Yahya Al Hudaifi.


Sur struggled to respond and Dhofar continued to threaten, but the Sur defense managed to hold firm until the half-time break.


The second half saw a change in approach from Sur as they began to press for a goal. Their efforts were converted to a goal in the 50th minute when Mohammed Al Najashi pulled one back with a direct free-kick. Dhofar responded quickly and restored their two-goal advantage in the 54th minute. Said turned provider this time, setting up Sultan Badar to score.

Sur continued to push forward and were rewarded for their efforts in the 64th minute when Al Najashi scored his second goal of the game with a powerful strike. The pressure continued and Sur found the equalizer in the 79th minute, with Al Najashi completing his hat-trick. Sur continued to attack and they grabbed the winning goal in the 87th minute through Robert. Sur managed to maintain the lead until the end of the match, winning 4-3.


With this win, Sur's points raised to 13, temporarily lifting them to ninth place in the overall league table, while Dhofar remained at 16 points in seventh place.


Oman Edge Bahla


Oman secured a narrow 1-0 victory over Bahla at the Nizwa Sports Complex on Tuesday in the 13th round of the Oman Professional League. The only goal of the game came in the 24th minute through Mohammed Al Ghafri, and Oman managed to hold on for the win. The victory moved Oman's points to 26, temporarily taking second place in the league table from Nahda, while Bahla remain bottom of the table with 6 points.
