MUSCAT: Over 1,000 children took part in the 5th National Brainobrain Festival held at the Middle East College, Student Hub, on February 17. The event was dedicated to enhancing memory and concentration skills among young learners and drew participants aged 5 to 14, marking it as one of the largest math-based gatherings in the city.


Organised by Brainobrain, an organisation committed to making memory and concentration skills intriguing and enjoyable for children, the festival saw an impressive turnout, with participants eagerly vying for top honours.


This annual event, which has become a cornerstone in promoting memory and concentration skills, saw 472 champions, 353 gold toppers, and 265 silver toppers, showcasing the growing enthusiasm among youngsters.


Highlighting the importance of mental agility in childhood development, Brainobrain emphasised the significance of engaging children in stimulating concentration and memory related activities. Through initiatives like the National Brainobrain Festival, the organisation aims to nurture memory and concentration skills, essential for academic success.


The winners were felicitated by chief guest, Mazin Al Sulaimani, and Anand Subramaniam during the prize distribution ceremony. Faculty members were also acknowledged for their invaluable contributions to the success of the event.


The competition, designed to test participants' calculation speed, memory power, and concentration, provided a platform for young minds to demonstrate their concentration and memory skills. The day-long event kicked off with an inaugural ceremony presided over by Anand Subramaniam, Managing Director of Brainobrain International.


The festival also incorporated various cultural programmes and engaging discussions on education and parenting, creating a holistic learning environment for participants and attendees alike. Children showcased their talents on stage, further enriching the event with their creativity and enthusiasm.


The enduring appeal of the abacus teaching method was evident throughout the festival, underscoring its effectiveness in concentration and memory skills enjoyable and accessible to children. Brainobrain, with its rich legacy of training children in abacus and smart calculation techniques, continues to inspire young learners, instilling in them a passion for learning and a confidence to excel.


The organisers reiterated their commitment to nurturing young talent and providing them with global exposure through innovative education initiatives.
