Al Seeb qualifies for semis of Arab volleyball championship

Muscat: Al Seeb Club has qualified for the semi-finals of the 42nd Arab Clubs Volleyball Championship, which is currently being held in Jordan. The tournament will continue until February 28.


Al Seeb defeated Dar Kulaib of Bahrain 3-1 in the quarter-finals on Monday. The set scores were 25-19, 25-22, 22-25, and 25-22.


Al Seeb had finished third in Group A, which also included Ahli Benghazi of Libya, Kazma of Kuwait, Al Najma of Bahrain, Qatar SC, and Shabab Al Hussein of Jordan.


Group B consisted of Dar Kulaib of Bahrain, Al-Shorta of Qatar, Al-Sweihli of Libya, Mosul Oil Refineries of Iraq, Burgan of Kuwait, and Shabab Arabi of Jordan.


Al Seeb finished third in their last participation in the tournament (the 41st edition), which was the first achievement for the Sultanate of Oman in the history of the championship.


The semi-finals will be played on Wednesday with the final scheduled for Thursday,.
