The Oman Handball Association Competitions Committee announced the schedule, rules and regulations of the First Division League with the participation of 7 clubs: Muscat, Al Seeb, Ahli Sidab, Oman, Khasab, Salalah and Nizwa. The league will be played in a two-stage system. In the first stage, the seven clubs will play a single round robin league. The club that finishes in seventh place will be relegated to the Second Division.

The team with the highest number of points wins the league championship. If two or more teams are tied on points for any position, the ranking will be determined on the basis of the total number of points obtained by each team from the tied teams in the matches played between them only.
