A team from the Oman Human Rights Commission led by the Commission's Chairperson, Prof Rashid bin Hamed al Balushi, visited the Samayil Central Prison. The team was accompanied by members of the Coordinating Committee for Justice and Coordination Affairs. The visit falls within the scope of the committee's tasks in Article 11 which are represented in conducting field visits to prisons and detention centres, in addition to building participation and cooperation. The visit was undertaken as per the consultative assessment given to the General Administration of Prisons by officers and supporters for the youngest workers in prisons.
