Art extravaganza ‘Waves of Colours’ held

MUSCAT: ‘Waves of Colours’, an exhibition portraying different colours of artwork and organised by NHP Events was held recently at the Oman Avenues Mall atrium.


The three-day exhibition was opened recently with Abdul Latif Mohidin Khunhi, Managing Director, Badr Al Samaa Group of Hospitals, and Foreign Representative, Oman Chamber of Commerce and Industry (OCCI) Board of Directors, as the guest of honour. Mohammed bin Issa al Rawahi was also present during the inaugural ceremony.


The exhibition was primarily based on the nature, culture of Oman and abstracts based along with different styles and genres of photography. However, the main focus of attraction was the free style sculptures. The mirror art and sculptures were very appealing among the visitors as it was one of the unique art works ever displayed as an abstract art piece.


The theme of the exhibition showcased different shades of colour giving an aesthetic appearance with creativity and sculptures, photographs adding harmony.


About 19 artists based in Oman showcased their excellent master pieces to a wider audience.


The artists who participated included Ajayan Poyyara, Anuradha Shanbhag, Aisha Zahir Dosani, Parul Bradoo Razdan, Mina Rezaee, Rema Sivakumar, Mhearts, Reji Chandy, Neethu Chabria, Mehran Badbor, Mohammed, Krishna Syam, Vaddepalli Kavitha Shali, Kavitha Shali, Rachel Eapen, Radhakrishnan, Simran and Sutanwi Raic.


Artiste Rema Sivakumar who curated the exhibition says the exhibition provided a fantastic way for the public to connect with art. “By showcasing the exhibition featuring different kinds of art, from all around Oman helped introduce people to new styles and ideas of different unique artists. They can also help to learn more about their kinds and styles of artworks.” Over 30,000 curious visitors thronged the venue enjoying the artwork.
