MUSCAT: Salim bin Mohammed al Mahrouqi, Minister of Heritage and Tourism received in his office on Sunday Olga Borisovna Lyubimova, Minister of Culture in the Russian Federation.


The meeting touched on aspects of the joint cooperation in areas of tourism, culture and heritage. They also discussed means of holding B2B meetings and reviewed ways to boost cooperation in the field of museum.


The two sides further explored the possibility of expanding the tourism promotion of the Sultanate of Oman in Russia by opening a tourism representation office and framing cooperation in the field of capacity building and investments.

They agreed to devise a joint executive programme through which joint meetings and events are organised in cooperation with relevant companies from the private sector to open broader areas for cooperation.


The meeting was attended by the Secretary-General of the National Museum and the Russian Ambassador to Oman.


Meanwhile, Shaikh Khalifa bin Ali al Harthy, Under-Secretary of the Foreign Ministry for Diplomatic Affairs held a meeting at the general Diwan of the ministry on Sunday with Olga Borisovna Lyubimova, Minister of Culture in the Russian Federation.


The meeting reviewed aspects of cooperation between Oman and Russia in various fields, particularly in the areas of culture and museum.


The meeting was attended by a number of officials from both sides. - ONA
