Muscat: The Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MOFA in the Sultanate has made a statement on the recent drone attack on American personnel on the Jordanian-Syrian border.


An official statement said, "The Ministry of Foreign Affairs expressed the Sultanate of Oman’s condemnation and regret of the recent drone attack on American personnel on the Jordanian-Syrian border, which resulted in the loss of some lives and the injury of a group of wounded, which at the same time represented a violation of the security and sovereignty of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan and constituted a new and dangerous escalation due to the tension in the region, as a result of the continued brutal Israeli aggression on the Gaza Strip."


The Ministry of Foreign Affairs said that the Sultanate of Oman expresses its solidarity with the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan and extends its support for the measures it is taking to preserve its security and stability, calls on all influential parties to intensify efforts to achieve security and stability in the region and stop the causes of escalation and tension, starting with deterring Israel and stopping its military aggression against the people, the defenseless Palestinian in the Gaza Strip.
