Muscat: Northern governorates of the Sultanate of Oman are likely to receive scattered rains over the weekend, according to a weather forecast issued by Oman Meteorology on Thursday.
In an online statement, the Met Office said, “Low and mid-level clouds are predicted to prevail over the coastal areas of Musandam, Muscat, South Al Batinah, North al Batinah, South al Sharqiyah governorates and parts of al Hajr Mountains, with chances of sporadic rains.
Additionally, there are chances of low-level clouds or fog patches at late night or early morning along parts of al Buraimi, South al Sharqiyah, Dhofar, and al Wusta governorates.
According to the weather bulletin, the lowest temperature recorded during the last 24 hours was in Jabl Shams, as it was 4.2º C, while the highest was at 34.8ºC in Salahah Airport.
