

MUSCAT: Total imports in the Sultanate of Oman until the end of October 2023 reached RO 12.3 billion , as stated by the National Centre for Statistics and Information (NCSI).
Engine fuel imports (excluding aircraft engines) amounted to RO 1.2 billion, diesel for other purposes amounted to RO 581.1 million, crude oil and crude mineral oils amounted to RO 450.8 million, iron ores and their concentrates not agglomerated amounted to RO 342.3 million, raw gold alloys, other than non-monetary gold, amounted to RO 238.9 million , and other commodities amounted to RO 9.4 billion rials.
The statistics show that the United Arab Emirates (UAE) ranked as the highest importing country with a total of RO 3.3 billion, representing 26.80 per cent, followed by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia with a total of RO 1.6 billion, representing 12.99 per cent.
The statistics also indicated that the total exports amounted to RO 17.4 billion, engine fuel (excluding aircraft engines) accounted for RO 7.9 million, diesel for other purposes accounted for RO 2.1 billion, crude oil and crude mineral oils accounted for RO 856.6 million, iron ores and their concentrates not agglomerated accounted for RO 539.9 million, raw gold alloys, other than non-monetary gold, accounted for RO 350.3 million, and other commodity exports accounted for RO 5.6 billion.
China ranked as the highest exporting country with a total of RO 7.5 billion, representing 43.12 per cent, followed by South Korea with a total of RO 1.0 billion, representing 6.15 per cent. — ONA
