MUSCAT: Claims settled by Credit Oman, the leading credit insurance agency of the Sultanate of Oman, amounted to RO 2.6 million from the beginning of the company till the end of 2023.


As many as 118 claims – submitted by local Omani manufacturers and exporters – were settled during this period, underscoring efforts by Credit Oman to strengthen exports through innovative insurance solutions that safeguard the interests of the local business community.


The value of insured goods climbed 7 percent to RO 148.388 million during this period, the agency added.


Over the past three decades, Credit Oman has played a significant role in enhancing the Omani export system and promoting Omani products worldwide. It has also contributed to increasing sales for many Omani companies and their entry into promising non-traditional markets. Credit Oman works to protect Omani exporters and manufacturers against commercial and non-commercial risks.
