MUSCAT: The Ministry of Health on Thursday organised the first GCC Conference on Child and Adolescent Psychiatry. The event was held at Al Masarra Hospital in the Wilayat of Al Amerat, Governorate of Muscat.


The conference was aimed at developing a vision for interaction among professionals in child and adolescent psychiatry services and psychology in GCC states. It focused on identifying challenges and strengths of health systems.


It also discussed proposals to establish a platform for psychiatrists, psychologists and social workers offering services to children and adolescents in the GCC region. The event included an exhibition showcasing outstanding missions carried out at Al Masarra Hospital. — ONA
