

MUSCAT: The Ministry of Education (MoE), represented by the Department of Communication and Media, and in cooperation with the Ministry of Information, represented by the Sultanate of Oman Television (Oman Live Channel), will begin broadcasting the first episodes of the educational television programme 'Lesson on Air' from Friday evening for general education diploma students for the first semester of the current academic year 2023/2024. The programme will continue broadcasting until January 24.
The first episode of the programme with a general session will discuss the specifications of the exam paper, the most important strategies that the student relies on when studying, an explanation of the correction mechanism, the most important controls that exam takers must adhere to, and practical advice to help students get rid of anxiety and stress.
The episodes on Saturday and on Monday will be dedicated to advanced mathematics, and the one on Sunday will be for basic mathematics. The programme will continue its episodes on Saturday, January 13, with the Arabic language subject, and the episodes of the second week of the programme will continue until Wednesday for the subjects of social studies (This is My Homeland), chemistry, geography, and modern technologies, and then chemistry again, respectively.
The third week of the programme begins with the subject of physics, for which Friday and Saturday were allocated. On the last week of the programme, Sunday’s episode will be for the English language subject, and the biology subject will be on Monday and Tuesday, and the programme’s final episodes will be on Wednesday with the history subject (The World Around Me).
The programme aims to help students of the General Education Diploma (Grade 12) in reviewing their academic subjects by hosting a number of supervisors and teachers specialised in the academic subjects who answer the students’ questions, whether by phone call via the programme’s phones: (2494621/ 24601538), or through e-mail, or through the programme’s websites on social media accounts, or with the hashtag #Live_Lesson.
It is worth noting that the programme broadcast is at exactly four o’clock in the evening, for an hour and a half, and is being prepared by the Department of Communication and Media, in cooperation with the Department of Educational Supervision at the Ministry of Education, and is presented by Fayza al Salti, directed by Nasser al Shukaili, and in coordination and follow-up by Khalid al Rahbi.
