Muscat welcomes Pakistani poet Zahid Fakhri

Acclaimed Pakistani poet and writer, Zahid Fakhri, was accorded a warm welcome by the Pakistani community residing in the Sultanate of Oman under the guidance of Ch Abbas, Ex-Director of the Pakistan Social Club at a luncheon gathering graced by the presence of Syed Fiaz Ali Shah as the chief guest.


Zahid Fakhri, with his innate quality of rendering profound and humorous poetry in Punjabi and Urdu, has captured the hearts of many with his versatile and thought-provoking literary works. His unique ability to blend poetic depth with humor has earned him admiration and a special place in the literary landscape.


"Zahid Fakhri's poetry has not only entertained us but has also enlightened our minds. Today, we gather to express our appreciation for his remarkable talent," Ch Abbas, chief organiser of the event. He expressed his gratitude for the opportunity to celebrate Zahid Fakhri's contributions to literature and art.


Syed Fiaz Ali Shah added an extra layer of significance to the celebration, emphasising the importance of cultural and literary contributions to the community identity.


Several prominent personalities from the Pakistani community, including Mian Munir, Ex-Chairman of the Pakistan Social Club, Mohammad Iqbal, Akhmat Hayat Rara, Tajamal Hussain Jami, Ch Aslam, Kashif Zaeem, Nasir Maroof along with many others, underscored the communal admiration for Zahid Fakhri.


"The luncheon also served as a testament to the unity and vibrancy of the Pakistani community in Muscat. The event concluded with warm wishes for Zahid Fakhri’s continued success and a commitment to fostering cultural and artistic endeavours within the community," said Mohamamd Kaleem Akhtar, Ex- Director Pakistan Social Club.
