Red Warriors are raring to go into their opening friendly game against China with the hope of gaining an encouragement victory when the match will take place on Friday at the Rajamangala Stadium in Abu Dhabi, UAE.


Oman team players are underway in their preparatory warm up gathering which is entering its tenth day as it is started in middle of December in Abu Dhabi, UAE. The initial warm up game will be followed with another tight gulf clash against the UAE on January 6.


Qatari club Al Kharaitiyat player, Jameel al Yahmadi, joined the national team’s eternal camp recently. It will the second straight attendance for al Yahmadi in the major Asian event before he made his debut in the previous edition of AFC Asian Cup as he had supported the national team to move into Round of 16. He is one of the key defenders and showing his peak years of his career.


Daily morning and evening warm up sessions under watchful eyes of the head coach Branko Ivankovic, Oman national teams stars are under an intensive training program ahead of their major assignment in the Asian Cup Championship. The coaching staff performed different technical and tactical training to test the players performance and readiness ahead of the main assignment.


Red Warriors will aim for a successful run in the forthcoming edition of the AFC Asian Cup Qatar 2023 as they will take on Saudi Arabia in the opener of group F. Then, they will face the confident Southeast Asian team Thailand on January 21 before concluding their group matches against Kyrgyzstan on January 25.


The 18th edition of the Asian Cup will be held from January 12 to February 10, 2024 in Doha city where 24 teams will vie for the title of the Asian event in the Fifa World Cup stadiums.
