Muscat: The Ministry of Transport and Communications and Information Technology (MTCIT) has agreements with more than RO150 million for the design and development of the Dibba-Khasab road and the road link to the Lima in Musandam Governorate.

The agreement signed with Al Sarooj Construction Company included the design and implementation of a road starting from the Wilayat of Dibba to the Wilayat of Khasab, with a length of about 70 km, passing through Lima.

One of the largest infrastructure projects in the Sultanate of Oma, the Dibba-Lima-Khasab road project will be implemented by Al Sarooj Construction Company.

To be ranked among the largest infrastructure in the country, these roads will facilitate the movement of citizens between the wilayats of the governorate, serve villages located on both sides of the road, create a road suitable for all weather conditions, reduce the current distance of travel between states and boost tourism activities.

The agreement was signed by Saeed bin Hamoud al Maawali, Minister, MTCIT, and Ghazi al Helou, the executive member of the company’s Board of Directors, on behalf of Al Sarooj Construction Company.

The signing of the agreement was attended by Sultan bin Salem al Habsi, Minister of Finance, and Sayyid Ibrahim bin Saeed al Busaidi, Governor of Musandam.
