TEHRAN: The Sultanate of Oman participated in the Tehran International Conference on Palestine which was held in the Iranian capital, Tehran, under the auspices of Dr Ebrahim Raisi, President of Islamic Republic of Iran.
The Sultanate of Oman’s delegation to the conference was headed by Shaikh Khalifa bin Ali al Harthi, Political Affairs Under-secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
Addressing the conference, Al Harthi affirmed the Sultanate of Oman’s stance condemning the continuing Israeli aggression against the Gaza Strip and demanding an immediate ceasefire and allow entry of humanitarian aid.
He expressed the Sultanate of Oman’s rejection to all the pretexts being used to justify the continuation of Israeli genocide on the Palestinian people which exceeded the standards of reaction and the principles of international law and humanitarian values.
The conference discussed the effects of the Israeli war on the Gaza Strip and emphasized support for the Palestinian people so that they can achieve their legitimate rights and establish their independent state on the 1967 borders with East Jerusalem as its capital. — ONA
