Muscat: His Highness Sayyid Theyazin bin Haitham al Said, Minister of Culture, Sports and Youth, will preside over the 2023 Municipal Councils Symposium, organized by the Ministry of Interior, and the launch of the Tanmia application, at the Al Bustan Palace Hotel on Sunday, in the presence of several ministers, undersecretaries, and the municipal council members in the governorates.
The two-day symposium includes several sessions during which a group of working papers will be presented that aim to develop the work of municipal councils with the help of specialists, in addition to listening to the views of council members and their proposals aimed at improving and improving the work.
The Tanmia application by the Ministry of Interior aims to link the Omani society and municipal councils in the governorates, enhancing communication, transparency, and trust between individuals and institutions.
