Over 7k passengers use the Mwasalat Abu Dhabi service

Muscat: The public transport company, Mwasalat said its bus route 202 (Muscat-Buraimi- Abu Dhabi via Al Ain) has been operating with nearly 118 percent occupancy.


The service, which was started in October 2023, has ferried more than 7,000 passengers, including 5,000 in just November.


Mwasalat had earlier stopped its services to Dubai in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) due to the pandemic.


The service to Abu Dhabi allows check-in baggage of 23kg and hand baggage of 7kg.


Buses leave Mwasalat Bus Station Azaiba at 6.30 am and arrive at Abu Dhabi Bus Station at 3.40 pm.


The bus travels via Al Ain and has several stops for breaks along the way, including at Barka Bridge, Al Buraimi, and Al Ain Central Bus Station


The return bus leaves Abu Dhabi Bus Station at 10:45 am, arriving at Azaiba at 8:35 pm.
