Officials explore areas of cooperation between Oman, Singapore

Singapore: As part of the three-day state visit of His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik, the Sultanate of Oman and the Republic of Singapore inked two MoU aimed at enhancing cooperation in the fields of culture, youth, investment promotion, facilitating trade and export procedures, developing SMEs, and boosting the country’s brand identity globally.

On the one hand, Qais bin Mohammed Al Yousef, Minister of the Ministry of Commerce, Industry & Investment Promotion met with Edwin Tong, Minister for Culture, Community and Youth and Second Minister for Law in the capital Singapore, on Thursday.



The meeting mooted opportunities to expand areas of cooperation of common interest, which would contribute to strengthening the close bilateral relations between the two friendly countries.


On the other hand, Salim bin Nasser Al Aufi, Minister of Energy and Minerals discussed with the Permanent Secretary of the Singaporean Ministry of Trade and Industry the existing bilateral relations, and a number of topics of common interest related to economy, trade and investment aspects in a number of fields, including renewable energy and green hydrogen production.
