MUSCAT: This weekend promises intense football action as the second-leg matches of the quarterfinals in His Majesty the Sultan's Cup competition will take place to determine the last four teams.

On Friday, Fanja Club face a tough challenge as they visit Al Nasr Club. The yellow shirts lost the first-leg match 2-1. The second leg takes place at Al Saada Complex where Fanja aim to secure qualification by winning with two clean goals.

In another pivotal clash, Bahla Club travel to Ibri Club at Ibri Complex. The first-leg match ended in a thrilling 2-2 draw, leaving both teams with a chance to secure a direct spot in the semifinals. Ibri Club have the opportunity to qualify with a win or loss.

SEEB TAKE ON AL NAHDA

Saturday's spotlight is on the mega clash between Seeb Club and Al Nahda Club at Al Buraimi Complex. Al Nahda had prevailed in the first-leg of the quarterfinal 2-1 at Seeb home ground. Consequently, even if Al Nahda lose by a 1-0 result, they will qualify for the last four, not to mention any draw.

The administration of Al Nahda Club announced on Wednesday that entry to their team's match against Seeb in the quarterfinals of the HM Cup will be free of charge.

Al Nahda administration stated in a press release that the decision is based on the special arrangement between Al Nahda and Seeb managements.

Equally significant is the match between Dhofar Club and Oman Club at the latter's venue.

Dhofar secured an advantage with a 2-0 win in the first leg held in Dhofar Governorate. The encounter promises more thrilling moments as both teams strive for a spot in the semifinals.
