Muscat: The Ministry of Energy and Minearls celebrated the the fiftieth anniversary of the trade partnership between the Ministry of Energy and Minerals and Japanese ITOCHU Corporation under the patronage of Eng. Salem bin Nasser Al Aufi, Minister of Energy and Minerals, yesterday November 30th in Muscat.


The event aimed to highlight the achievements of the Japanese corporation and its diverse activities in the Sultanate of Oman since the beginning of this partnership in 1974. It emphasized the importance of trade relations between the two countries and their positive impact on the sector. The celebration also reflected on the trajectory of the partnership over the past fifty years and its contribution to enhancing cooperation, knowledge exchange, and technology transfer.


The celebrations also included the signing of the annual crude oil export contract for the year 2024.
