Muscat: Represented by the General Directorate of Labour in Muscat Governorate, the Ministry of Labour on Tuesday announced the availability of 101 employment opportunities for fresh jobseekers (who have not been employed before). The offer stems from the Wage Subsidy Initiative (WSI) endorsed at various private sector establishments.

The employment opportunities can be contested by holders of university degrees, the General Education Diploma (GED) and the post-secondary school diploma (undergraduate diploma).

The Wage Subsidy Initiative lends support to private sector establishments and encourages them to employ Omanis. The initiative offers the establishments RO 200 per employee for a period of two years, provided that the employer bears the agreed wage difference and that employment runs for at least four years or the equivalent government support period.
